I am ready to start blogging again, venturing online after a long break. I always feel a bit sheepish about my blog because I prefer to write about whatever topic is on my mind, rather than limit myself to one topic. There are some recurring themes–time management, writing, reading, democracy (as in use it or lose it), and occasionally tech tools. But I suspect it’s a bit random for anyone reading it from one day to the next, or, ahem, one year to the next since it has been… almost one year since I posted on this blog? Is that possible?
Alas, it is, time keeps melting away for me. So that, too, makes me feel even more awkward about posting something new, as if I’m entering a nonexistent conversation…
Nobody:
Me. Here’s what I have to say about that!
Still nobody:
Me: And there’s more…
Still, I have to start somewhere, so here I go again, talking online (always a questionable pursuit). It’s not that I haven’t written anything for the blog—I have a backlog of half-written posts, some of which might be worth posting someday soon. I even have a few ready to go— a series about how to explore majors in college, then possibly a political reflection, some tech reviews, updates on my revision work on a series of novels, and yeah, maybe you see what I mean about this blog being random. But my hope is that I will get back into the habit of blogging and not find it so odd to see my words appear in this space again.
If you’ve read this far, I hope you are doing well and finding your own way to words, to books, or to whatever else inspires you. And maybe we’ll cross paths on here again soon.
